Physical Therapy
As you all know, I am a klutz and am getting ready to have surgery on my knee. Before surgery I am doing physical therapy to strengthen my leg muscles and keep the knee loose and moving. The therapist that I started working with was awesome. He was funny, nice and really easy to talk to. I was very comfortable with him. I liked him a lot. The second time I went they assigned me a diffrent therapist. He is ok, but I has mannerisms and a way about him that makes me a little uncomfortable. Actually he reminds me a lot of a guy I used to work with that was one of those people that kind of drive you crazy and creep you out a little while you also feel sorry for them. Long story short...I want the first guy back. What should I do? I'm probably won't do anything about it because I don't want to be a jerk about it, but if anyone can think of a nice way to get what I want that would be awesome. I will be doing a lot of therapy over the next month or two so I want to like going.

I would totally talk to them when you schedule your appointment, let them know you were very impressed with the first guy and ask why they switched them. Ask how they determine who you get. I would definately say something. Was he single?
ReplyDeleteI agree with Maegan...just tell the front desk how much you liked the first guy and find out when he works...then try and make your appointments fit in with his schedule. It doesn't have to be about the second guy at all...make it about how positive the first guy ones...everyone likes compliments!
ReplyDeleteYou are both right. The thing is they are the only two therapists in the office as far as I can tell and I just don't want it to be weird when I go in to see the other one when they both always there. But toget what I want I have to speak up so I'll try to get my courage up to do ask for want I want. I don't think either one is single but I can understand why you ask! :)
ReplyDeleteUPDATE: Mike the therapist I like the most had surgery last week, and is now out for a while. This is why I was transfered to Brent (the other guy) in the first place....Sigh..."you can't always get what you want...but if you try somtimes, you get what you need!"
