So I was talking to Amanda Jane on the phone today and we talked about using this blog as a way to hold ourselves accountable for our goals. We are both working towards getting healthy and thought this might help us stay motivated. I don't want this blog to become just about that so please continue to update everyone about whatever things are going on in your lives that you want to share. I have enjoyed reading all the posts and I feel a little more in touch with you guys. Feel free to join in if there is something you are working towards but are struggling with and want to use this to be held accountable...
I have been focused on getting this new diet thing off the ground. I did really well for almost a week but the last three days have been a bust! I tried today but wasn't perfect...Here is how it went...
3:30pm
2 c. lettuce
2 c. raw veggies
1 c. croutons
1 T. salad dressing
2 oz tuna
1 12 oz can diet DP
6:30
1 T. peanut butter
1/2 wheat english muffin
7:30
12 dried apricots
8:00
1 lemon bar
1 chimichanga
4 oz skim milk
I love you girls and I hope all is going well in your lives! Hope to hear from you soon!
That looks pretty darn good considering I kept you from starting FOREVER!!! I do have a small victory to report, I got a 32 oz. icee and I didn't even finish it. The second half is still in my freezer. Keep it up!!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I fell entirely off the wagon yesterday though....Jumping back on tomorrow...perhaps. Nice slurpee restraint!
ReplyDeleteWow!! I'm impressed with your slurpee restraint Amanda!! Keep it up!!
ReplyDeleteYOur doing awesome Maeg! keep it up!! Woot!! Woot!
I've known I needed to lose weight ever since This summer when I foolish attempted to climb Half Dome and I made it a mile up feeling nauseous, and nearly on my death bed.
It's so hard to diet during the Holidays!! but seriously January 1, 2011 watch out ladies I'm going to try to cut out all soda and junk food!!
I'm glad to hear you guys are doing well!
I love you!

ReplyDeleteOh aren't we all always on the diet train. I really hate the diet train! I have been fast food free and soda free since the new year and I still really miss my coke! But it's been nearly a month and a half and I'm still doing it and eating gluten free on top of that (mainly because my sister has a lot of gluten free food and I know I should be doing it). Also as some of you know I am living in Virginia at the moment. I am helping my sister (This is my sister Anne with her husband John and their two kids Kara-6 and Matthew-3) pack and in two weeks we will FINALLY be moving to South Carolina. I am very much looking forward to this because we're all in their small apartment and I need some space! Plus my other sisters Azlynne and Caryn (husband Emmett and kids Nichole-12 and Emme-6)live there too. So to clear things up for anyone who doesn't know I am going to be living in South Carolina and trying to get my online bakery off of the ground. I already bought the domain name Gonewiththewheat.com and I hope to have my business up and running by 2012 but we'll see.
ReplyDeleteOne other tidbit. I have now written 114 pages in my book. I probably have about 100 pages to go before I am finished. I don't know how long it will take me but for the moment I've got nothing but time! I love you all!
P.s. I feel really lame but I wrote all this in a comment because I don't know how to post my own thread.
